Dr. Lee served as Head of the Middle and Upper School from June 2009 to July 2017. He helped put Keith in the national spotlight when, in 2006, the College Board announced that Keith had the strongest Advanced Placement U.S. History course in the world among schools its size. In 2007, Dr. Lee’s AP European History course was rated strongest in the country among schools its size. Dr. Lee is currently an Associate Professor and Department Chair at Rockford University, where he teaches courses in political science and history. He has also taught at Boston College, Michigan State University, and Kenyon College. Dr. Lee has been published in the political science journal Polity and has edited and been a contributing writer for high school readers on government, the Constitution, American history, and world politics. He continues to teach AP courses at Keith when his schedule allows. His favorite activities outside of school are reading, watching sports, and spending time with his English bulldog, RJ.
