An enthusiastic and committed licensed therapist with years of experience, Mrs. Starr Boeke, MS, LMFT, provides in-school mental health support as Keith’s social emotional counselor.
Invigorated by aiding young people in finding new and relevant solutions for ongoing barriers, Mrs. Boeke dedicates herself to assisting students in achieving personal growth through compassionate and informed care.
A skilled practitioner, Mrs. Boeke specializes in mentorship, relationship development, conflict resolution, crisis management, and the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
Prior to joining Keith, Mrs. Boeke spent seven years as a marriage and family therapist, in both private practice and facility settings. This included time as a clinician and therapist with Rosecrance where she worked with a multidisciplinary team to provide individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She also co-facilitated an ADHD clinic and collaborated with outside community services — including schools, primary care physicians, probation officers, and DCFS — to provide comprehensive care for clients.
Most recently, Mrs. Boeke served as an adjunct professor at Northern Illinois University. In addition to delivering lectures to undergraduate students on topics regarding research-based skills and techniques within the counseling profession, she mentored Human Development and Family Sciences students in communication skills and professionalism.
Mrs. Boeke holds an Associate of Arts from Rock Valley College and a Bachelor of Science in sociology and a Master of Science in family and child studies with specialization in marriage and family therapy from Northern Illinois University.
